- My answer is simple: there are no universal rules.

The best makeup at 50, 60, or any age is the makeup that makes you feel beautiful. Some women love a natural, fresh look, while others feel empowered by a bold lip, dramatic eyes, or full-glam makeup. Both are equally valid.

Of course, our skin changes over time, and adjusting products or techniques can help enhance comfort and wear. But those adjustments are about working with your skin—not limiting your creativity.

Beauty has no age limit, and makeup should never come with restrictions. Wear what reflects your personality, embrace what makes you feel confident, and remember: the most flattering look is the one that feels authentically you.

Because makeup doesn’t have an age requirement—it has a confidence requirement.
